The two most important cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum are to be found here along with the world famous mountain and volcano, Mt. Vesuvius. When on your Italian Vacation you can either use the public transportation, which is fantastic, or drive down. Keep in mind that the roads are quite narrow out here. The green blue waters and the lovely Italian countryside will go on to make your vacation great fun.

If you want to go away from the most famous tourist spots then you can go to the fishing villages that dot the Italian coast all along the Italian Riviera. This region is extremely scenic as it is nestled between the Liguria Sean and the mountains. The fishing village of Portofino is extremely famous and is visited by many.
